We have today been advised of the death of one of our previous District Commissioners, Tony Brown and it is with deep sadness that I report he's GONE HOME.
Tony was a painter and decorator and began his Scouting Career as a Venture Scout Leader at Ingrow Scout Group, and was ADC Ventures, before graduating to the role of District Commissioner during the early 1990's and was succeed by our current DC in 1996.
He played a big part in Keighley District and helped to build a link between Scouting and other Youth Groups, and local Companies who supported Scouting.
Upon leaving Keighley District he stayed in the Scouting arena by assisting at Kildwick and Farnhill in North Yorkshire.
Sadly after retiring from Scouting, Tony suffered for some time from Cancer, and over the past few years has been receiving care for Alzheimers.
Keighley District Scout Council send our Best Wishes , Commiserations and offer our support to Iris and his sons Simon and Jason, & his family at this time.
