Scouts prepares young people with skills for life – helping them speak up and play their part. Each week we give almost half a million people aged 6-25 the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.
We’re talking about teamwork, leadership and resilience & skills that have helped Scouts become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians.
We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always. We’re part of a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.

Coronavirus
Given the Government’s guidance, some face-to-face Scout meetings, activities and events are starting to get back to a covid-secure normal.
We will continue to follow guidance from the Government, National Youth Agency, The Scout Association and West Yorkshire County Scouts. Some groups are beginning to offer outdoor face-to-face activities, some are still mainly online Scouting. The safety of everyone involved in Scouts, both young people and adults, is our number one priority. That is always at the heart of our decision making. Contact your local leader to find out what kind of Scouting is available for you. You can also find more information from The Scouts HERE.
